It's a 2D image measurement made of medium-thick plates.

In blank (substrate) measurement, important geometric characteristics are hole patterns and distances between structures. With tolerances of a few tenths of a millimetre, measurement-uncertainty requirements are not very high. In contrast, measuring time is very important, so throughput for automatically measuring many geometric elements in a short time is essential.

Werth image-processing-based multisensor measuring machines enable high-speed inspection by optically acquiring many holes and contours in parallel. In combination with confocal and laser sensors, they can also evaluate small steps and geometric deviations in sheet material.
