Optical mirrors and filters have very small surface gaps and very low surface roughness. The most important geological characteristics are surface gaps. The measurement inaccuracy requirement is very high for the range of the gaps below μm. Precision multicentor measurements based on a point-of-contact sensor are suitable for the assessment of extremely low shape gaps and smooth surfaces with contactless contact, and ScopeCheck® S and FB configurations are recommended.
