Holes in fiber couplers are small in diameter and cannot be measured by contact stylus. Holes have to be measured in diameter, position, shape, and the precision and speed of measurement is very high in the range of μm. These micro-hole measurements are based on Werth's image processing-based ultra-fast raster scanning technology, which is used to measure up to a million geometric properties in a few minutes at a resolution of up to 20,000 megapixel, dramatically shortening the testing time. Also, using a prime-point sensor can reliably assess the depth and shape of the hole.
