Screening cutters are a complex cutting edge shape tool for processing the inner and outer gears of metal parts into a single process. They must accurately measure the cutting edge profile and the shape related to the tooth, and the intersection is a medium to the level of measurement inaccuracy required. Many cutting edges are repeatedly placed, so it is important to evaluate the CNC automatically measured cutting edge and profile reproduction together. Taking the cutting edge with optical image processing and supplementing it with a scanning probe, fiber optic probe to a narrow die, can efficiently verify the shape properties.
