The Werth 3D meters, which have X-ray computer single-layer imaging, can use a variety of area sensors depending on the requirements, which vary in design, dimension, pixel size and number, and speed, and can be optimally adapted to each requirement through modular equipment design.

• Edge lengths from 50 mm to 430 mm provide different measuring ranges both "in the image" and "over the image."
• The number of pixels per detector line ranges from 1,000 to 6,000, and the total number of pixels ranges from 1 to 36 megapixels. Resolution can therefore be optimally matched to the workpiece size and required measuring resolution.
• Binning enables detectors with a high pixel count to measure faster using less data.
• The fastest detectors have exposure times of only a few milliseconds and, combined with a powerful tube and OnTheFly CT, provide high measuring speed.
• Pixel sizes down to 50 µm resolve even the smallest structures.
• Area detectors can also operate in line-sensor mode under software control.
• Depending on the design, they can be used at acceleration voltages between 130 kV and 450 kV.
